Research Fellow in Gene Delivery
We are recruiting a Research Fellow to research gene delivery for CART-T cell therapy as part of the ARC Training Centre for Cell and Tissue Engineering Technologies (CTET). CTET is a newly funded centre led by Monash University in collaboration with the Queensland University of Technology and 22 partner organisations.
We are looking for a Research Fellow to join the project, which aims to revolutionise cancer treatment by re-engineering patients’ immune cells to effectively combat their cancers. Specifically, the focus is on CAR-T cell therapy, a cutting-edge form of cancer immunotherapy that has shown tremendous promise in treating certain blood cancers. However, the existing viral-based CAR-T immunotherapy is expensive, complex, and slow to manufacture. To address these challenges and enhance the clinical outcomes of CAR-T cell therapy, the project proposes leveraging the power of nanoinjection technology using nanoneedles for intracellular delivery.
As the successful candidate, you will have a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline, or equivalent qualifications and research experience. You will have previous research experience in flow cytometry, knowledge in intracellular delivery techniques, and a strong background in cellular and molecular immunology.
We are looking forward to having you join the team!
