Welcome Parisa!

I am a postdoctoral research fellow in Prof. Nicolas Voelcker’s research group. My current research is
focused on developing drug delivery systems based on porous silicon nanoparticles for targeted
therapy of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and melanoma.
I studied pharmacy at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences and got my PharmD in
2017. Afterwards, I completed my PhD at the University of South Australia in 2022. The focus of my
PhD project was on the development of nanomedicine-based approaches such as polymeric and lipid
nanoparticles to investigate immune checkpoint inhibitors for cancer immunotherapy.
