Welcome Maryam!

Maryam Ghaffari has received her Bachelor’s in General Biology. As a Master of Science, she studied
biochemistry at Tabriz University, Iran. Her master study was on the co-delivery of anticancer
components and siRNA via PAMAM dendrimer nanoparticles into cervical cancer cells. Afterward,
she was a research assistant at the Immunology Research Centre (IRC) at the Tabriz University of
Medical Science under the supervision of Dr. Jafar Ezzati Nazhad Dolatabadi, working on the co-
delivery of conventional anticancer drugs with herbal-based components into cancer cells. Now she is
a Ph.D. candidate at Monash University under the supervision of Prof. Voelcker, Dr. Tong, and Dr.
Sahandi. Her research will focus on the co-delivery of anticancer drugs and siRNA via Porous silicon
nanoparticles in brain cancer.
