Welcome Huajing
Huajing Wu commenced her PhD in April 2018 and will be working under the supervision of Professor Nicolas Voelcker and Dr Anna Cifuentes. Her research will focus on optimization and performance evaluation of biodegradable porous silicon nanoparticles targeting resistance to cancer immunotherapy.
Huajing gained her Bachelor of Science Degree with the major of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science in China Pharmaceutical University(CPU) in 2017. In her senior year, she focused on the area of pharmaceutical analysis and finished her undergraduate thesis of “Establishment and Verification of an LC-MS/MS Analysis after the DAG Derivatization in Mice”. After graduation, she undertook an internship at Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences and proceeded for a research project focusing on in vitro and in-vivo effects of microRNAs delivered by biodegradable OEI polymers in lung cancer. She found her interest in drug delivery and molecular biology and then decided to join Professor Nicolas Voelcker’s research group to open her academic horizons.
