Welcome Jiabin Zhang!
Dr. Jiabin Zhang holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering from Tianjin Medical University and University of Dundee, respectively. In 2019, he was conferred a PhD degree from The University of Adelaide, where he used stem cells and smart biomaterials for bone and cartilage regeneration. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Sun Yat-Sen University for the following three years and his research interests mainly focused on liver organoids and 3D printing for treatment of acute liver failure. He is currently a Research Fellow in Prof. Nicolas Voelcker’s group at Monash University and Melbourne Centre for Nanofabrication. His project is 3D printing of micro-actuators for regulation of stem cell fate at a single cell resolution. He volunteers as a peer-reviewer for multiple journals, including Biofabrication, Biomedical Materials, Journal of Tissue Engineering, Journal of Materials Chemistry B, Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology. Meanwhile, he is also a member of Australian Society for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering.
